When you consider having someone cut into your eyeballs for cataract surgery, you have to consider VERY carefully who that someone will be. Once my optometrist determined that my cataracts were ready to be surgically removed, she provided me two names of qualified surgeons and having reviewed each surgeon’s background & qualifications, I chose to go with Sherri Rowen, MD (NVision) in Newport Beach. To say I was supremely nervous is understating how I felt, and Dr. Rowen calmly answered (more than once, and more than twice) my questions about types of lens implants, the pros and cons of each, and what to realistically expect from each type of lens. Dr. Rowen even responded to my voicemail on a Sunday (which happened to be a serious holiday) and prior to my first surgery reviewed once again the pros and cons of each type of lens. More positive input is that NVision timely communicated with me regarding various aspects and medications (eyedrops) for each of my surgeries/procedures, and even more positive input is that the surgery center where the procedures took place was very easy to find, clean & well organized, with excellent staff who helped make the process much easier than I thought it would be. Post-surgery checks with NVision and my optometrist went well, and post-surgical LASIK touch-ups and YAG procedures with Dr. Rowen went very well. I truly encourage you to consider the well-known phrase, “You get what you pay for,” and I’m truly grateful for Dr. Rowen’s knowledge, skills, experience, patience, and care.
In summary, prior to having been seen by Dr. Rowen my near vision was absolutely terrible. The surgical procedure was completed within an hour, and the following Rx light treatment procedures totaled ninety days. I couldn’t be happier with the results. This procedure has been a game changer, and I would highly recommend Nvision to any family members and friends. Dr Sheri Rowan is the best of the best. Thanks again!
My experience with Dr. Rowan and the staff at NVISION and Pacific Hills Surgery Center was stellar and I am extremely happy with my decision to have her perform my surgery . The process from the initial consultation to Pre-Surgery, Surgery, and Post Surgery support was very professional and everyone took the time to explain to me the procedure, expectations and timelines and answered all of my questions and concerns. The deterioration in my sight was of great concern as it had happened so quickly and I was eager to get this corrected, but had so many questions and concerns. However once I spoke with Dr. Rowan, I made the decision to have surgery as soon as possible. The surgery was vey quick and I had no anxiety during the entire process. I am near the end of my recovery period and am completely happy with the outcome. I am able to see "everything" in great detail (as I had years ago) and have absolutely no regrets. I'm seeing and noted things now that I've taken for granted the past few years. The clarity and vivid colors I am now rediscovering are amazing and I cannot thank Dr. Rowan and everyone at NVISION and Pacific Hills Surgery enough for what they've given back to me.

When I went to NVISION Centers in Newport Beach, I was originally scheduled to see another surgeon. But instead I ended up with Dr. Sheri Rowen, and I couldn’t have been more blessed. Her surgery scheduler, William Chua, went above and beyond in helping with the insurance, prescription eye drops, and answering my many questions. They make an awesome team. The bottom line is that Dr. Rowen is an extraordinarily skilled surgeon and a very caring human being. I had little to no anxiety prior to the surgery because she made me feel so comfortable, and I had absolute confidence in her.
